Tuesday 12th December

18:30 - 21:30

Learn how to create festive decorations using punch needle embroidery whilst enjoying a complimentary glass of fizz and mince pies.

Working from your own design, or templates provided, you will make up to four unique decorations to take home. This relaxed and social workshop is the perfect opportunity to get into the festive spirit and support a mindful, handmade Christmas.

A punch needle is a manual tool used for embroidery or rug making which creates an area of tightly packed loops of yarn held together by a woven fabric. All the materials are provided, but feel free to bring any extras you wish to use! Suitable for complete beginners but all abilities welcome.

“Ellen’s tufting workshop was amazing. I had no experience of tufting, but Ellen showed us all how to hold, thread, and use the tufting guns. With a couple of test goes and after feeling confident to use the gun, we drew out our pieces and started. Ellen is a fantastic teacher and even showed me how to do some hand tufting. I have recommended Ellen’s tufting workshop to all my friends and family.”

“I haven't had a weekend where I felt so engaged in so long. Ellen created a super lovely space which had the perfect balance of independent creativity & support.”
